Born in Charleston, SC and raised in Columbia, Bryson
moved to New York in 1983, where he stayed busy as a
musician and teacher for 20 years.  Since returning to SC
in 2003, he has taught at USC, Claflin University,
Presbyterian College and worked for many local groups,
as well as maintaining a small teaching studio at home.  
Bryson is currently Instructor of Jazz Studies at the
University of South Carolina School of Music!   

Performing for more than 40 years, Bryson has played
with many wonderful and accomplished musicians and
entertainers.  Performance highlights include: The
